Within the framework of the project “Agro Financing of Additional Value Chains,” a monitoring of greenhouses and seedling nurseries for sweet pepper was conducted from May 9 to 11, 2026 in the village of Nizhne-Chuiskoye, Sokuluk District.
The event brought together 16 farmers working within the sweet pepper value chain. The monitoring was carried out by experts Abdykhamid Mamashukurov and Avaz Imankulov.
The main objective of the monitoring was to assess compliance with recommended agronomic practices, ensure timely detection of pests and diseases, and provide practical guidance on improving sweet pepper cultivation technologies.
During the field assessment, specialists evaluated the condition of the seedlings and adherence to agronomic requirements. In some farms, certain issues were identified, including overly dense seedling placement and delayed weed control in nurseries. These factors may negatively affect air circulation in greenhouses and create favorable conditions for the development of diseases and the spread of pests.
Special attention was given to the phytosanitary condition of plants. Aphids were detected on sweet pepper seedlings in four farms. After diagnosis, agronomists provided recommendations for integrated plant protection. The insecticide “Cyperfuz” was recommended for treating seedlings, while “Mospilan” was advised for trees and surrounding vegetation near greenhouses, which serve as potential sources of pest spread.
Farmers also received practical recommendations on regulating planting density, timely weed control, greenhouse ventilation, and proper irrigation practices.
The monitoring helped identify existing challenges in a timely manner, take necessary plant protection measures, and create favorable conditions for the successful development of sweet pepper seedlings and high-quality yield production.
