Practical Training on Modern Methods for Food Product Testing

 

From 6 to 17 July 2026, practical training sessions were held for laboratory specialists from Bishkek and Osh to strengthen their skills in modern food product testing methods.

The training was conducted at the Veterinary Diagnostics and Expertise Center and at the Bishkek Center for Testing, Certification and Metrology under the Center for Standardization and Metrology of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the training, specialists practiced modern methods for determining residues of veterinary medicines and other controlled substances, as well as preservatives, sweeteners and pesticide residues in food products.

Particular attention was given to the practical application of high-performance liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry, as well as sample preparation, instrumental analysis, data processing and evaluation of test results.

Participants strengthened their practical skills in methods established by GOST R 57024-2016, GOST 33978-2016, GOST 33332-2023, STB EN 15662-2022 and GOST EN 12856-2015.

The practical training contributes to improving the quality and reliability of laboratory testing, expanding the range of food safety indicators that can be determined, and strengthening the national food quality and safety control system.

The development of laboratory and analytical capacity also supports compliance of domestic products with international requirements and creates opportunities to expand export potential for Kyrgyz producers.
