Success Story of Aigul Aksupova: Leading the Way in Product Certification and Testing
Aigul Myrzabekovna Aksupova, an accomplished food engineer with a Ph.D. in Technical Sciences, has dedicated over 30 years to the field of certification and metrology in the Kyrgyz Republic. As the head of the Testing Base Management at the Bishkek Center for Testing, Certification, and Metrology (BCTCM) under Kyrgyzstandart, she oversees four key laboratories specializing in food and agricultural products, engineering goods, consumer products, and fuel materials.
Aigul began her career as a certification expert and quickly rose to leadership positions due to her exceptional commitment to quality and innovation. Under her guidance, the laboratories have become a vital component in ensuring the quality and safety of products in Kyrgyzstan. Her contributions have earned her numerous awards, including a Certificate of Honor from the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2023 for her role in economic development.
A significant milestone in Aigul’s career was her involvement in the “Agro-Financing Value Chain” project, where she and her team received practical training from Latvian and Ukrainian experts. This training, which covered cutting-edge techniques for detecting GMOs, analyzing antibiotics in food products, and testing fatty acid compositions, has strengthened Kyrgyzstan’s food safety standards. Aigul believes these advancements will enhance the competitiveness of local products on international markets, boosting the country’s export potential.
